Meet Jude & Eleanor!
Hi. We like coffee. A lot. Jude is a Brooksville native who spent his teenage years in Athens, GA. The coffee scene in Athens is boomin’, and after moving back home to Brooksville, he wanted to know where all the coffee at?!
Eleanor was born and raised in Athens, and is a career barista. She began developing her coffee palette at 14, and working in coffee shops at 17. She fell head over heels for the awkward 15-year old Jude back in 2019, and the rest is history. The two have been happily married since February 2025.
The Coffee Journey
Our coffee journey has been a fun one; we’ve had phases, hobbies, and tendencies. Distributors rose and fell during our development, going from a world where tamping pressure is everything to a world where it’s cool if you don’t tamp at all. We’re tried and true coffee nerds, with an affinity for properly done, well-made bean juice and organically handmade syrups n’ sauces that compliment rather than substitute. Admittedly, we have a bias towards a good light roast; but we can appreciate a solid medium! (dark roast lovers don’t hate us it’s just that you’re hardly even drinking coffee I mean come on I could roast like anything and grind it up and pour water over it and it would taste like that let’s be real).
Over our over coffee lives we’ve seen good people scared away from good coffee by some pretentious folk. Good coffee isn’t something that should be gate keeped, but shared with the world! People shouldn’t be made to feel less than just because they haven’t spent hours in the rabbit of holes of Lance Hedrick and James Hoffman and didn’t know honey process doesn’t involve actual honey!
What we about, bro
We hope to educate those who want to learn more about the processes of coffee, and to let those who don’t just enjoy their darn drip!
Jude and Eleanor have a passion for hospitality— and we hope your experience in our shop feels like a late night coffee ‘n convo around the table.
Too often we see great folk with good intentions servin’ some mediocre brew, or some uptight dude in jeans he sure as heck can’t get off slinging delicious ‘spro. We exist to bridge that gap— to give you the hometown, intentional, genuine care alongside phenomenal coffee from people who know (or like to think they know) what they’re doing.So come on by; say hey to your new friends. Sip on a drip for maximum conversation. Order a latte to go. Order a cold brew if you’re feeling craaazy. Try something new. Ask questions. Take it easy, man.
